[Duckie — Yes, it was the 80s. But still, damn.

Duckie in normal clothes would have been just a somewhat-creepy, obsessed, overdramatic teenager. With the clothes, though, he’s still that. But so much more comes through. His clothing reflects and amplifies the go-to-hell spirit and proud eccentricity that are some of the most enjoyable parts of the character. It’s that spirit that also says “I can’t help it that I exist in the 1980s. But I can still make it look awesome.”
